Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens continues! Today we’re looking at our first candidate from the new Captain America set, LUKE CAGE, Power Man!

Note that you have to wedge it under his arm from behind, or it won’t work.

Although this really ought to be your go-to Luke Cage for any game you ever wanna use the character in from now on, there might be instances when you may wish to field the other versions: LUKE CAGE from Avengers, POWER MAN & IRON FIST from Secret Invasion and POWER MAN from Fantastic Forces:

All three hold tokens fairly easily, though the FF one does so even more tenuously than it looks here.

Be back Thursday for another edition of Token Totin’!

Sorry, readers! I got so busy with life (closing in on possible full-time employment) and forgot to press the schedule button for this update. So here’s a rare weekend edition of Heroclixin’!

——————-

Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens continues! Today we go crazy old-school with the Controller:

See how it wedges between his left fist and the base? Easy grip. Less easy is getting him to the mid-to-late-dial clicks where he has Super Strength, particularly on the Rookie and Exp. versions lacking the Masters of Evil team ability.

Be back a week from Tuesday for another edition of Token Totin’. Next week, this space is taken by another guest review by young Morrison. This time, he’ll be analyzing the Soldier keyword, just in time for the Fourth of July.

Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens continues! Today we’re looking at the brilliant Dr. Henry Pym, GIANT-MAN:

No problem at all to squeeze it under his right armpit. Be back Thursday for another edition of Token Totin’!

Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens continues! Today we’re looking at the those superheroic brothers, Hawk & Dove:

Sure, you’ll almost never play this poorly designed duo (Don, the “Dove” half of the pair, never did reach his true potential, so it’s actually character-accurate), but it’s nice to know that between the two they can tote the token with ease.

Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens continues! Today we’re looking at the master of Apokolips, Darkseid:

See how it wedges (barely) between his chin and the clear plastic oval of his flight stand thingy.

Be back next Tuesday for another edition of Token Totin’!

Sorry for the lack of an update yesterday. I’d intended to start a brand-new feature to replace my just-completed the year-long “My Custom Mods” feature. But not only have I been too sidetracked to get it ready, but I’ve recalled not one, but TWO extra repaints that I forgot the first time around! So look for a couple of bonus weeks of My Custom Mods.

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens, today we’re looking at Alloy from the DC Giants Collector Set:

Giants like him typically hold their objects well (if a bit unconventionally).

Be back Thursday for another edition of Token Totin’!

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens, today we’re looking at Gennady Gavrilov, the Crimson Dynamo of Armor Wars:

See how you can squeeze the token between his head and shoulder pad?

Naturally, this also works for Gennady from the still-tournament-legal Iron Man Classics set.

Be back next Tuesday for another edition of Token Totin’!

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens, today we’re looking at the Namor of the Ultimate Marvel Universe:

Yeah, the pic’s blurry as all get-out. And no, you’re not likely to even ever play him over the far superior Secret Invasion Namor. But if you do (or, like me, just enjoy playing teams composed of every version of a particular character), now you know that he can tenuously hold an object token between his left waistline and water splash.

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens, today we’re looking at the latest super-strong figure in the game: Kilowog!

It takes some slight bending of the token (not enough to crease it, though).

Here's a rear view. See how it fits in both hands?

You’ve probably noticed a focus on Green Lanterns this week. It continues with my regular end-of-month Top Ten feature. Be here tomorrow for the intro to the Top Ten Green Lantern Corps figures in HeroClix!
