Continuing the photographic record of which Super-Strong characters can hold cardboard object tokens. Here are a couple that I missed from the Batman set months back.

Batman (Batman 056) has a good hold under his cape. Maul (Batman 024) doesn’t grip his quite as tightly, but it’s fine and it’s arguably cooler.

Was set to start a new feature tomorrow, but might delay to get a little ahead on the site. Have a great weekend!

Continuing the Heroclixin’s photographic record of which Super-Strong characters can hold the game’s cardboard object tokens. Here’s Vixen from Streets of Gotham:

She can’t hold the older skinny tokens I prefer to use…not without using the little slots in the back of the HeroClix base as shown above.

The newer, thicker tokens don’t fit in those slots, though. Fortunately…

…the thick tokens can be wedged between her ankles and her glutes.

Continuing Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strong figs that can hold objects. There were a few in Streets of Gotham that got missed in all the holiday and early-year Top Ten madness.

Hawk (Streets of Gotham 018 and Fast Forces 005 ) holds his token very firmly under his cape. The Venom-pumped Ghost of Batman (051) also has a cape-based hold, though not as good. Similarly tenuous is jet-suit Batman (013), whose forearm just gets a grip. Finally, Spartan Warrior Spirit can balance a token in his arms. But it’s prone to toppling over.

(EDIT 4/1/13) WHOOPS!…I’m just now realizing that I already published this lineup early in January! Sorry folks, looks like the April Fool is me!

Tomorrow: Figure Flush week three results!

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strong figs, we’re taking a look back at some we missed in Streets of Gotham, starting with this scaly guy:

Killer Croc (021) holds this token very securely between his left paw and knee.

_____

Tomorrow: A new — and shorter — version of the usual Top Ten list I do the first week of the month!

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strong figs in the Amazing Spider-Man set holding object tokens with the title character himself:

Yup. Spider-Man (024) juuuuust grips the token as shown.

But not only does the original Spidey tote tokens. Behold the latest version of the character, young Miles Morales:

Spider-Man (039) needs a bit of webbing help, but the hold is very secure.

Continuing Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strong figs that can hold objects:

Chase figure Prodigy (Amazing Spider-Man 001b) holds a token between his neck and outstretched arm. This hold works better with the newer, thicker tokens than the older variety I do most of my tests with.

And while there are some more pix to share (see Thursday for those), here are the characters in the set that DO NOT have any good holds at all:

Dracula (and Vampire)

Hannibal King

Kaine

Tomorrow continues Figure Flush, a new series of battle reports/figure reviews of finally-played HeroClix pieces. Stay tuned!

Continuing Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strong figs that can hold objects, we move on through the Amazing Spider-Man set with:

Wedging the token upright in the stat slot and wrist of Scarlet Spider (Amazing Spider-Man 001b & 209) works for him. Meanwhile, Rhino (020) tenuously grips his token where his left leg and torso meet.

The bigger half of Man-Thing and Howard The Duck (047) holds a token with solid ease in his right forearm.

Tomorrow, Figure Flush continues.

Continuing Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strong figs that can hold objects, again. It’s been a while.

>

Upright on the base of “Big Time” Spider-Man (Amazing Spider-Man 001b) and held — barely — by a loop of webbing.

Monsters are strong.

Manphibian (Amazing Spider-Man 025) holds a token in the crook of his left arm like so while Living Mummy (Amazing Spider-Man 011) grips it under his triceps.

Tomorrow there MIGHT be  the start of a new series of battle reports/figure reviews. Stay tuned!

Been a while, as I’ve been away on holiday. Time to continue Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strong figs that can hold objects, again:

Hawk (Streets of Gotham Fast Forces 003) securely holds his token with his cape. “No hands, little brother!” The brawny Ghost of Batman (Streets of Gotham 051), also use his cape, though with far less competence. (That’s what happens when you use drugs as a crutch to get your Super Strength, kids! Batman (Streets of Gotham 013) of the invisible battlesuit granting Super Strength barely grips the token with his right forearm. The robotic WildCAT Spartan Warrior Spirit (Streets of Gotham 036) can balance the token in his arms as shown, or one can tuck it under his right armpit from the front.

Next week, Heroclixin’ begins its annual look back at the best, worst and whatever of the previous year. But with the staggering amount of HeroClix we saw in 2012, that’s gonna be a daunting task. Stick around and see what’s what.
