Continuing the photographic record of just how each character with the Super Strength power can hold their object token (the old ones, anyway. The newer ones found in the Avengers and Dark Knight Rises starter sets might be too thick) somewhere on the sculpt unassisted.

After nearly a year without DC Comics-based clix (the Dark Knight Rises was movie-based), I’m pleased to finally present some new token-toters from the latest version of the “Original Universe”:

At left, Wonder Woman holds the token between her lasso and left knee very securely and very awesomely. Her teammate (and, in lamer days, frequent backseat passenger of her invisible jet) Aquaman fits the token behind him in the wave. His wife and fellow ruler Mera does likewise, if with a tad less authority. Finally, Superman gets a grip with his left arm and cape. You might need to use the base to help with this hold.

Next up is a Battle Report of some kind…haven’t decided what yet. Thursday will be a Token Totin’ from the vaults and Friday? Look for some F.U.N.!

Back in May, I hardly saw hide nor hair of the Avengers Movie’s Frost Giant Champion to shoot it toting an object token. But at last behold…!

The last two characters to go into Heroclixin’s photographic record of Super-Strong figs that can hold objects are a pair that don’t actually have Super Strength.

Instead, both have the ability to temporarily use the power under certain circumstances. First is Hank Pym (Chaos War 014), who can pick any standard Attack power when on an object:

It tucks neatly under his left arm as shown…though because the power only lasts ’till the end of turn, he’ll be dropping it like it’s hot as soon as he finishes moving, anyway.

Then we’ve got Taskmaster (Chaos War 048) who can copy any power of an opponent he can see with an action token in 8 squares:

Not sure how “photographic reflexes” can get you instant super-muscles, though.

And that’s it for Chaos War!

(Well, it’s almost completed. There’s one more character with Super Strength who I’ve never gotten my hands on. I just don’t have $150 lying around to get this big boy:

I suppose one could fit a token in between any of his fingers. I really want one to try it out! Someone gift one to Heroclixin’!!!!

We’re almost done with Chaos War, a set that’s surprisingly light on the green attack power to be “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.” Today we have this star-crossed duo:

The token is held in Wonder Man’s energy tendrils instead of his hand like on his other sculpts (though that hold can work, too).

Tomorrow, read a battle report on Chaos War pieces. Then be here Thursday for two more pieces that, at first glance, might not look super-strong at all. But they can heft the heavies (and lights) with the burliest of them for a turn or two.

Got shots of a few more Super Strengthers in Chaos War:

From left, we have The Unspoken, who pretty handily holds his fun-Token as shown. The Sentry’s fits under his cape. And the latest Ms. Marvel’s right fist and sash belt work together nicely to make a firm grip.

More Chaotic action on Thursday. Tomorrow, look for a rather unconventional battle report.

Pretty behind on this set, as money issues are keeping me from getting much of it at all. I’m also late getting this up. But that won’t stop this photographic record of how each Super-Strong character can hold object tokens on the sculpt.

From left: Ultron Drone holds it easily among the smoke. Space Phantom (who can temporarily use Super Strength sometimes via their respective Special Powers) holds his more tenuously, leaning it on his chest and barely trapped with his elbow. Wonder Man holds his securely just like his future self (and sculpt-swap) Hollywood did in Galactic Guardians. Iron Man Drone does as Space Phantom does, but a little better.

I’ll surely have a bit more after Saturday’s sealed game. Probably. In the meantime, Friday will act as an addendum to the Most Needed Remakes list from several weeks back, and perhaps I’ll get another installment of Card Art up.

Welcome again to the photographic record of how all the sculpts of characters with the Super Strength power can hold object tokens.

I’m pleased to present a brand-new piece, Chaos War’s THOR:

He holds it under his arm (and hammer handle) and on the base. It’s not the best hold out there, but it’ll get the job done.

Tomorrow will either be the introduction to the new monthly Top Ten list or a callback to an old one.

Welcome again to the photographic record of how all the sculpts of characters with the Super Strength power can hold object tokens.

I’m pleased to present one of the very latest strong clix in the game: the diabolic scheming muscleman, Bane:

He holds it tucked just under his chin and propped up on his left arm.

I’m pleased to present another oldie (but not so good, really) who, at first glance, doesn’t even seem to rate Super Strength, a lawyer to super-people, Kate Spencer aka Manhunter:

She holds it like so under her arm and on the base. Though your results may vary due to how bendy she can get buried in the tackle box as she is along with hundreds of other figures that hardly ever see any play.
