Welcome again to the photographic record of how all the sculpts of characters with the Super Strength power can hold object tokens. Finally sort of getting back into a regular groove here.

I’m pleased to present a pic of the old school, Mr. “I broke Hypersonic Speed” himself, Vet Icons Superman:

He holds it easily under the cape until he clocks your favorite figure for seven.

Next Token Totin’ edition on Thursday. Tomorrow, a battle report on a spacefaring team I’m still aching to play. (No, it’s NOT Guardians of the Galaxy.)

Welcome again to the photographic record of how all the sculpts of characters with the Super Strength power can hold object tokens.

Back when the Incredible Hulk set was fairly new, I managed to get shots of two of the six Hulked Out Heroes chase figures, IceHulk and Mighty Thorr. Now, thanks to fellow player David Leverette, I’ve photographed the other four below:

Wolverage effortlessly holds his heavy under his right claw. Winter Hulk, on the other hand, already has his hands full with his puny shield and can only lamely lean the token on his chest. Hulkmariner must’ve been occupying water terrain, ’cause he’s balancing a light object on his head and under his right arm. (And he really is just balancing it; it’s not a great hold at all.) Finally, Hulklops’ is wedged in his stat slot and some eyebeams.

Token Totin’s takin’ a break next week; it’s time for another monthly Top Ten countdown. Be here tomorrow for the intro!

Welcome again to the photographic record of how all the sculpts of characters with the Super Strength power can hold object tokens. Finally sort of getting back into a regular groove here.

I’m pleased to present a pic of a character who, at first glance, doesn’t even seem to rate Super Strength, the Queen of Attilan, Medusa:

She holds it tenuously under her arm and on the base.

Next Token Totin’ edition will be SMASHING!

Welcome again to the photographic record of how all the sculpts of characters with the Super Strength power can hold object tokens.

I was hoping to post a final update with of photos of  the rest of the Avengers Movie ‘clix with objects in hand (or otherwise). But I’ve yet to even see either a Frost Giant Champion or Laufey — or even the regular Frost Giant! — to test it out.

Still, I’m pleased to present this Avengers Movie clix that can tote his tokens: The mighty Thor (020 & 200)!

Thor’s token fits easily under his cape, though it’s not quite as secure a fit as it looks like it should be.

_____

And oh, look! I got ahold of two of the the other Super Strong characters in the set to photograph: Volstagg (the Voluminous) and Iron Man 019!

Both tuck their tokens underneath their respective elbows.

Welcome again to the photographic record of how all the sculpts of characters with the Super Strength power can hold object tokens.

At last, we bring photos of all the new Galactic Guardians with objects in hand (or otherwise)!

Hollywood (Galactic Guardians 013) adroitly grasps the token in his right arm. Charlie-27 (012) is less adept — tuck it under his gun-toting elbow. Hulk (027 and 207), is very similar to Hulk Robot, who I shot back in the Incredible Hulk set edition, but I found a better way to tote that token as shown above.

Namor (009 & 203) is a bit tricky, until you realize the token wedges well under his crossed arms and upon the crescent part of the dial base. Blood Brother (007) balances the token more precariously than it looks. Annihilation Seeker (005) and his sculptmate Ravenous (018) grasp theirs under the right elbow. Finally, Replica (035) uses her wings to hold a heavy.

Gladiator (040) confidently carries his object under his left arm. Xavin (022) and sculptmate Super-Skrull (034) have the right form to hold tokens well. The Thing (038) handles his…well, we’ll see. And Stranger (043), who’s no stranger to powers, can just barely hang on to his.

Thing begs a closer shot from a different angle:

Ah. It becomes more apparent. An object token fits under his chin for a most unusual hold — but one fit for clobbering, for sure.

A bit surprisingly, Giganto The Mole Monster (G004) is the only Colossal in the set with Super Strength. He holds it in his hand.

You’ve GOT to balance it on his thumb and middle finger or it just won’t work.

_____

I want to present the balance of the Avengers figs, but I still haven’t so much as seen a Frost Giant yet, much less shot any pictures. And I didn’t have my camera handy when I finally got a peek at Volstagg, the other brawny piece left. So who knows whether Thursday’s edition will feature more than a single piece?

Check in tomorrow for a new approach to Wednesday’s New Comic Day Battle Reports.

Welcome back to the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens. Today we’re looking at more from the HULK set!

Icehulk (Incredible Hulk #048, center) and A.I.Marine Hulk (#100, right) hboth holds their tokens neatly in the ice formation and under his right arm, respectively. But Hulk Robot (#006, left) really doesn’t grip the token nearly as well as it looks like he does here.

____

Thundra  (#012) and her daughter and sculpt-mate Lyra (#016) both hold the token easily under their left arm.   (Doc Samson (#030) does it even better and more dynamically!

_____

The Prince of Power, Hercules  (#026)  easily grips the token under his left arm. And, in center, Spider-Man (#038) surprises you: his hands aren’t glued to the wall, so a token can be held most excellently. Finally, Mrs. Green Scar Caiera (#039) perfectly cradles the token in her open arms like the mother she is. (Then she’ll smash your enemies with it like the baaaaaad mutherhushyomouf she also is.)

_____

Skarr (#015 and #207) obviously takes after his parents, Caiera above and Green Scar (Mutations & Monsters #033) below:
…but before we digress too far off the Hulk SET path…

Tiger Shark (#033) grips the token well for a guy who’s frequently all wet. :)

________

And to wrap up, the Mighty Thorr (#050) uses the lightning to heft his object.

I want to publicly thank fellow players David of Griffin, Lenny of Lawrenceville and Paul of Decatur for allowing me to paw and photograph their brand-new figures for this edition of Token Totin’, as I only own the first three featured (Hulk Robot, Icehulk and A.I.Marine Hulk) due to car repairs eating up my already-meager clix funds.

Christmas is upon us, and I want to celebrate a little by continuing my Top Ten Changes I Want for Clix throughout the holidays! Check in daily starting tomorrow for #8!

She-Hulk, Hulk, Abomination and Red Hulk

Welcome back to the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens. Today we’re looking at several freakish-looking characters…and no, it’s not Halloween again. It’s the HULK set!

She-Hulk (Incredible Hulk #007 & #204): holds her token neatly under her right arm.

Hulk  (Incredible Hulk #001 & #201): holds his in his forearms as shown. I forgot to see if sculpt-mates Spear-chucking Hulk and Cosmic Hulk (Incredible Hulk #043 & #045, respectively) can as well, with their extra sculpt elements!

Abomination  (Incredible Hulk #013 & #206): there’s a crevice on the right side of his neck that might be able to hold the token as shown. Otherwise, he’s actually unable to reliably tote his token.

Finally, Red Hulk  (Incredible Hulk #028 & #210): The token actually has to be bent to fit (look closely and you’ll see). If you’re a stickler for pristine object tokens, you may wish to tread carefully here.

Me, I don’t care. I got 20 or more object tokens.

I wanted to get more Token Totin’ up, but time escapes me, and I really need to finish my long-delayed Top Ten Changes We Want for Clixmas before year’s end — it’s already too late to finish it for Christmas! Don’t get left out in the cold: be here tomorrow for the #9 most needed change to HeroClix!

Steel holds it under his hammer and Superman can...just...BARELY...hold it between his arm and cape.

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens, today we’re making up for some lost time. Usually, when a new set comes out, I’ll try to post an extra-sized Token Totin’ Tuesday/Thursday/whenever  for as many of the new qualifying characters as possible. But my A) predetermined theme for October and B) not getting to see any of the new set for half the month fouled up that plan.

Better late than never, though, right?

First up is the self-proclaimed head of Metropolis and his Amazon bodyguards, Lex Luthor (Superman 015), Mercy Graves (Superman 014) and Hope Taya (Superman 030):

Both gals hold it under their ponytails. Wedge it between Lex's jaw and collar.

Next are three characters who’ve acted as heroes — sort of — but become villains — sort of: Cyborg Superman (Superman 034), Black Adam (Superman 054) and Magog (Superman 035)

On either end, Cyborg Supes and KC Magog hold it really easily in their arms. In the center, it's Black Adam's lightning that does the lifting.

Not to be outdone, the ladies can tote huge weights like they’re just handbags. Behold Lois Lane: Superwoman (Superman 009), Lucy Lane: Superwoman (Superman 026) and Supergirl (Superman 010):

Lois holds under her cape as shown, Lucy under HER cape, and Supergirl either under her cape (sort of) or between her hair and cape.

And, of course, the actual Men of Steel can hold their tokens, right? Steel (Superman 018) and Superman (Superman 001):

Steel holds it under his hammer and Superman can...just...BARELY...hold it between his arm and cape.

There are way too many freaks and monsters in HeroClix to document them all, even in two big editions. And besides, it’s now All-Saints’ Day, the Christianized response to the oh-so-pagan Halloween. (Or something.) So it’s time to switch themes and continue the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens!

First up is a hot black woman with bleached-blonde hair who got ahold of some expired Green Goblin Formula, Menace (Web of Spider-Man #033):

I mean, it MUST be expired if she turns into a YELLOW goblin instead, right?

Next: Scorpion (Web of Spider-Man 037).

You can only kinda lean in on him. Yes, it's lame, I know. (HE'S lame.)

Another Spider-foe in green:  Will O’the Wisp (Web of Spider-Man #013)

In his hands! Not bad for a guy who's immaterial a lot of the time.

And since we’re on a Spider-villain roll, here’s a double-dose of Doctor Octopus, old and new:

Back to more recent stuff, like All-Star Bizarro from September’s Superman set:

Bizarro does few things well, including holding tokens. It just leans on his chest like this.

Or another monster we couldn’t quite fit into October, his occasionally super-strong set-mate Parasite (Superman 027):

The dimunitive Veteran Puck from Mutant Mayhem actually has a couple of holds:

Whoa, another double-whammy of a classic Spider-foe — Rhino from Critical Mass and Sinister:

Whew, that’s enough sweet stuff for now. Back in a couple of days for a catch-up on the rest of the Superman set’s super-strong token toters.

Continuing the photographic record of Super-Strength characters who can hold their own object tokens and the Halloween-y focus, today we’re looking at several freakish-looking characters using Super Strength who can tote their object tokens.

First up are a couple with twin power-siphon SPs: Parasite (Justice League #030):

and Super-Adaptoid from Mutations and Monsters:

Though neither has Super Strength, both could GET Super Strength under the extreme circumstances that it takes to make you use their SPs (and, more importantly, either of these overcosted, inefficient figures).

Not quite so overcosted and inefficient, Ultrahumanite of Unleashed represents the gorillas in this menagerie:

Venom from Sinister, too:

You can tell I took the following pic of Killer Croc (Unleashed and Batman Alpha) before I figured out how to photograph miniatures. But the point that he can hold a token in the crook of his left arm is still plain to see:

Another big green guy…Supernova’s Drax the Destroyer:

Whoa, we’re on a green roll, here! Origin’s Martian Manhunter:

This Martian Manhunter, from The Brave And The Bold, isn’t so green. But he’s just as super-strong:

Secret Invasion’s She-Thing is a token toter, barely:

So is Tombstone from the same set. Wedge it in his stat slot and under his folded arms:

Korg (Mutations and Monsters #018) :

And finally: Supernova’s Super-Skrull (and, by virtue of having an identical sculpt, LE Skymax) holds his token with aplomb!

Tomorrow, see who Heroclixin’s top three Monsters in Modern Age are.
