[MOD 53]: THE THING (Fantastic Four 004)

Like other the set-title-character commons in 2020’s F4 set, he had a trait called “In The Beginning…” that indicated these were the FF at the start of their careers. And Ben Grimm’s soon-to-be iconic rocky epidermis hadn’t yet emerged:

It was more lumpy-looking. So decided to mod mine to match:

• Painted him in orange acrylic.
• then did it again
• and again and again, as thickly as possible.

The result was VERY pleasing! Original on the left, mod on the right:

It, too, got to the table in the mass Hulk vs. Thing matchup with Lenny.
